Body Lift
Belt Lipectomy

A body lift offers the most dramatic transformation of the mid and lower body. It is a re-sculpting of the abdomen, hips, thighs, and buttocks.

The lower body lift includes a tummy tuck, thigh lift, and buttock lift.

The body lift procedure is performed on post bariatric patients as well as patients who have not had weight loss. The body lift transforms patients that have experienced massive weight loss and have excess skin. However, results are just as dramatic in patients who in addition to a tummy tuck want a tightening of the skin in their thighs and buttocks. The body lift has the advantage that it can be done in one surgical session or in stages depending on the patients needs.

You may already have a surgeon or you might be looking at financing options first, either way can help you understand your options.

Recovery is straightforward when you get a body lift. Patients should plan to be out of work for 3 weeks. Some patients can resume limited work functions after 2 weeks.

The results of a body lift are visible almost immediately. However, it may take as much as one to two years or more for the final results of the body lift procedures to fully develop and you may see a few scars. You need to ensure you maintain a stable weight and exercise regularly.

As your body ages, it is natural to lose some firmness. However, most of your initial improvement should be relatively permanent.
