Procedures for Women

Brow Lift
Browplasty

Deep lines, a furrowed forehead, and sagging eyebrows can make you look very old, tired and unhappy. A forehead lift removes excess skin and tightens the muscles of the brow allowing your skin to lie flat and smooth above your eyes and up to your hair line. A forehead or brow lift can also remove embedded lines and furrows enhancing your overall facial expression, enlivening your appearance, giving you a younger more vibrant look.

There are two types of forehead lift surgery. One is a standard procedure which is performed under general anesthesia, meaning you will sleep through the procedure, and the other is endoscopic which can be performed with local anesthesia and sedation.

SurgeryLoans.com can help you get the financing you need for brow lift surgery, and we can also help you find a surgeon through our physician referral service.

Recovery

Immediately following surgery you will need to rest with your head elevated to reduce swelling and bruising. Most patients are able to return to light activities in 7 to 10 days. For patients who receive endoscopic surgery, recovery is reduced by a few days. Bruising will subside after 2 to 3 weeks. Some patients are comfortable returning to regular social activities after 2 weeks. Incisions are usually made behind the hairline to reduce visible scarring. Strenuous activities that raise blood pressure should be avoided for 2 to 3 months. It is very important to avoid direct sun exposure for many months after surgery and to use sunscreen at all times.
